I don't know about you guys but when I think spring, I think fashion, and it would certainly appear as though I'm not the only one. We kick started our (veeeeeery) busy season with a tribute to the one and only Yves Saint Laurent:

Grazia Magazine Editor and all-round-fashion-guru Alison Veness McGourty celebrated her birthday this year with Margie's ultra-realistic handbag cake. A big thank you to all the guys in the Grazia office for your lovely comments, it was absolutely our pleasure.

...Oh, and speaking od handbags, ever wondered how difficult it would be to create your own? Last week we held our Specialty Designer Handbag workshop and the results were "absolutely fabulous darling"!

If you're interesting in finding out a little more about what you can expect from the workshop, well known foody blogger Lorraine Elliott attended the course and has provided a great run down on the day on her blog 'Not Quite Nigella:

If you haven't already had a look, Lorraine's blog is a fabulous infight into the food culture of Sydney and beyond. To view the Planet Cake entry in its entirety head to:

Next up we helped FHM Magazine celebrate their 150th issue with this enormous Jennifer Hawkins-cover cake. In a quote direct from the horses mouth, the cake was "an absolute cracker". The guys from the FHM office even made a special request to the venue to have the delicious leftovers delivered back to them... ah such news is music to our ears.

For some great footage of the Hemmesphere event and of course our cake check out:

Thankyou so much for the shoutout :) And now I'm totally in love with the new YSL bag. Thanks for the class, I was so impressed at how realistic my bag was. I showed it to friends and family and they were genuinely confused as to where the cake was as they thought it was a bag! :)
