Wonderland Cupcakes April

It's always exciting holding a course here for the first time and last weeks Wonderland Cupcakes was no exception. Unfortunately there was no special guest appearance from Johnny Depp, however we reckon that our cupcakes would certainly do Tim Burton proud.

Planet Cake Update 23.04.10

Hi All,

In the usual Planet Cake style, it’s been a whirlwind week in here and once again I can hardly believe it’s Friday already.

On Sunday us gals from the PC office were delighted to attend the Wedding Establishement Open Day, held in the stunning Ivy Room, George St. Sydney. I know I’ve said it before, but it’s always a pleasure having the opportunity to get out there and meet you guys. For those of you who missed the day be sure to check out this amazing venue on their website:

Next up we were up and running bright and early on Monday morning to bring you once again the best of the best in the world of cake. I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted our cake photos, however I am delighted, this week, to give you a sneak peak into what’s been coming out of our kitchens of late:

A few weeks back we made a fabulous cake (Planet Cake Easter Update) to help our good friends at MasterChef celebrate their new upcoming season, and by the looks of these pics we got back, the guys enjoyed eating it as much as we did making it… And they say you can’t have your cake and eat it too!

With the lead up to ANZAC day this weekend, in honour of those who have fought and are fighting for us still, I thought I would finish off today with some of the most patriotic cakes to have come out of Planet Cake.

Wishing you all a very safe and enjoyable long weekend, stay tuned next week for a look as we fall down the PC rabbit hole into Anna-Maria’s Wonderland Cupcake Class.

SPRINGTIME WORKSHOP APRIL 2010

It may be feeling like Autumn outside but it's definately Springtime here at Planet Cake. Last week Handi taught the classic Springtime in Basics 106 to yet wonderful group, determined not to be outdone by Melbourne's amazing Springtimes earlier this year.

Well done Basics 106, an amazing job...we reckon the proof is in the pudding...

Planet Cake Easter Update

As I'm sure you've all guessed the Planet Cake team are celebrating Easter in a big way this year (what a surprise right, us celebrating a chance to indulge in more chocolate?) with Anna-Maria and Betty teaching our Easter Cupcakes workshop and preparations almost complete for PC at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

We will be atthe Easter Show next Tuesday 6th, Thursday 8th and Saturday 10th April, so be sure to drop by, meet the team and collect a yummy cupcake.

Now I know, I know this is what you've all been waiting for so without further adieu I present to you Planet Cake's "Best Of" for the week...!

One very lucky six year old celebrated her bowling birthday extravaganza with this oh-so-fabulous pink bowling ball cake

We were thrilled to help our good friends at MasterChef once again, with Handi creating this cake for a recent promo event of theirs

Here at Planet Cake we strive to support Australian charities, and this week Anna-Maria created these gorgeous cupcakes for an event to promote the Biggest Morning Team an annual fundraiser by the Cancer Council. Never one to shy away from an excuse for a cuppa (or a camera pose) the whole team got into the spirit of things.

If you're interested in getting involved see the Cancer Council's website for more information:
A very Happy Easter from everyone at Planet Cake, be safe happy and of course eat plenty of chocolate!
