Week Ending 22.05.09

Margie created some really superb cakes this week (of course) including this flying duck for a NZ corporate celebrating at the Opera House and this giant cricket ball for Cricket Australia cut by Ricky Ponting to celebrate the count down of 50 days until the ashes – yehhhhhhhh!!

Then finally another cake that Margie created, this incredible dragon boat, I have included a photo on the table so you can grasp the scale. This cake has a really sad story as it was for a lovely lady whose 11 year old son passed away a year ago and wanted to thank his old Dragon Boat club for their incredible support in the last year – when she saw the cake she burst into tears, who said cake decorating was just about cake?? Pretty humbling stuff, the cake was fabulous!

Morning Show Cake

We had a really fun this week, but it was fairly quiet as a result of school holidays, which was great for Margie as she was able to make this incredible cake for the Channel 7 Morning Show with Larry and Kylie, who wanted a 'retro' cake to celebrate 25 years of the Ninja Turtles. The figurines are completely made from icing with some internal support, the cake was chocolate - yum!
