Merry Christmas Everyone!As I write this we are running his Novelty Xmas Pudding class and the students have been having a wonderful time and their puddings look great. Margie has now departed for their Christmas break and the rest of the gang and I will be working through until Christmas Eve and beyond. Tomorrow we have our 2008 Charity Cupcake Drive and we are gearing up for the arrival of 60 volunteers and a lot of cupcakes to be decorated, here is Jess kneading the colours 15kg red, 7.5 kg brown, 7.5 green, 15kg, blue colour 15kg skin pink icing – Thank you Jess!!!
The highlight of this week cakes was definitely a birthday cake for model Jennifer Hawkins, who is having her 25th Birthday this evening in an undisclosed location. Margie did a brilliant figurine and Handi helped with the cake, the end result I am sure you will agree is sensational and very fitting for Jen’s party theme of villains and superhero’s, lets hope that she likes it!
Apart from Jen’s cake we did some amazing cakes this week, including this lovely Christmas pudding cake for our friends at Chanel 7, for the Morning Show. The rest of gang were very busy with other cakes, Margie did a brilliant job with both of these Santa cakes (2nd one figurine only).
Margie made two drunken bed cakes this week (must be the party season) and a castke was made by Anna-Maria for a lucky 1 year old. Anna Maria speant a long time putting together this amazing Topsy turvey cake. The hydrangeas took 2 staff 3 days to make, now that’s what I call couture!
Then there was this incredible painted cake from Margie based on the famous willow pattern, this cake is flying to Adelaide for a very special 80 year old’s birthday! I think that this cake is one of the best examples of Margies painted work that I have ever seen, Margie really is the master when it comes to painted cakes.
