WOW, what a weekend!!! Over the course of four fabulous days, the Planet Cake team helped hundreds of people create their very own beautiful (not to mention delicious) cupcakes.

It was a great weekend and we would like to thank everyone who came along to support us.

PLANET CAKE WEEKLY UPDATE 11.03.10

We’ve been a bunch of busy little beavers here at the Planet Cake Lodge getting ready for the TASTE of Sydney festival (starting tonight) and we absolutely can’t wait to see you all there! So make sure you drop by Centennial Park this weekend and pick up a free cupcake, what’s not to love?

Last week we were very excited to provide our good friends Larry and Kylie at Channel 7’s the Morning Show with a fabulous telephone cake to help celebrate 134 years of the telephone.

Now after all my talk of cool cakes last week, things began to heat up a little in the kitchen this week, starting with this amazing chilli cake

It may be Autumn outside but it was positively blooming in here last week as students attended Tropical Sugar Flowers with Anna Maria

We’ve got a busy weekend ahead here with Jessica taking her very first Chocolate Passion class (we just can’t wait to see the results!) and the rest of the crew at TASTE, so be sure to stay tuned next week to find out how it all went!

Planet Cake Update 02.03.10

With the farewell of Summer over the weekend, here at Planet Cake we decided to celebrate the cool weather with some very cool cakes. Novelty cakes were in high demand last week, and in between running some very fabulous new workshops, the team managed the whip up these extravaganzas...

It also seemed to be a week for skin care, with Anna Maria creating theseSugarbomb-inspired cupcakes for Australian cosmetic brand Benefit's new range, and Ritzi working on a larger than life Skii bottle.

And they say sugar is bad for your skin!

NEW PLANET CAKE COURSES 02.03.10

Those of you who follow Planet Cake closely will know that 2010 saw us adding many brand new courses to our schedule, and last week Planet Cake was pleased to present not one but four brand new classes to the world.

We kick started the week with the very popular Biz Wizz Your Cakes taken by none other than our fearless leader Paris Cutler, followed by Cake Art with our very own Antony Bullimore.
Both classes were sold out in record time, for this rare opportunity to learn from two of the most influential people in cake decorating in the country.

Both classes will run again later in the year, so book in early if you’re interested in either of these amazing classes.

Next up students were treated to two specialized workshops on Edible Painting with Anna Maria and Airbrushing with Jessica Pedemont.

The weekend saw Linda and Marianne taking a Novelty 101 class, and judging by the photos I’m really not sure who enjoyed themselves more, the teachers or the students.
